P90X


After 2 months of "vacation" from exercise I decided it was time to get my ass moving again and work off the Sam Adams and cheeseburgers I've been stuffing into my face. When I went on hiatus I was getting sick of my old routine of weights and cardio and wanted to try something new. Then I heard about a program called P90X. It's a 90 day program (6 days a week) that consists of 12 different workouts ranging from resistance training to plyometrics to yoga, etc. You can "YouTube" it to see the results some people are getting. It sounded like what I was looking for so I bought the DVDs and got it started this week. They're all run by a professional trainer who is, admittedly, a little bit douchey but I'm telling you....the workouts are no...fucking...joke. I hurt in places I didn't know existed. I'm going to try to chronicle the first month to give people an idea of what this program is like.
